A covert investigation revealed a detestable practice in Laxa, sweden. The undercover report demonstrated how doctors were executing 'v! rginity tests' on teenage girls against their will.

The footage was shot by reporters for the Swedish current affairs program Kalla Kafta (Cold Fact). They hid video cameras and approached doctors across Sweden and asked if these people were willing to perform the tests.

The private journalists were disguised as an aunt and her 17-year-old neice. In the footage the aunt is seen asking the doctor to check her neice, despite the teen's resistance. The aunt then asks the doctor to issue a 'v! rginity certificate', reviews the Independent.

The Swedish law states that doctors are bound to survey a child to cultural services if they feel that they are really 'in need of protection' reports the Separate. Throughout the expose the doctor confessed that she performed 'hundreds' of v! rginity tests, including children.
